         I gained knowledge about discourse maker, it help me more understand to the text. Although I didn’t known all vocabularies in the text, I can understand the text. Furthermore, I can use discourse maker in other subject such as, Paragraph writing, Writing for communication 2 and can help me improve my writing skill.

         My feeling in this subject, I felt enjoy and fun but sometime I confused when the text has a difficult vocabularies such as, Cause and Effects, Problem and Solution and Expository texts. Even though it is difficult, it is important and interesting.

                On Monday, I leaned  Expository texts. Expository texts describes about real story and it have refer to information in the text. The text is always long and vocabularies is more difficult than other text.

            I did exercise many text: The internet and society and How to cope with insomnia. It is difficult for me. Even though it is important, I interesting and enjoyed.

       

Problem and Solution

                                                          Problem and Solution

       On Monday, I learned about Problem and Solution. It is difference from Cause and Effect because it describes about cause, effect and solution but Cause and Effect didn’t describes about solution. I did exercise many text such as How to address machine gun overheat and malfunction and How to prevent amnesia through diet.

        Even though it is difficult for me, it is important and interesting. I enjoyed.

Exemplification

        On Sunday, I learned about Exemplification. Exemplification to tell example in the text and it always has such as, for example, for instant, etc. Furthermore, it can help the reader easy to understand the text.

       I did exercise about Exemplification: College Students Pressures and Fun thing to do in Great Falls. It isn’t difficult for me because it is interesting and easy to understand. I enjoyed relaxed and fun.

 

Definition and Classification

                                             Definition and Classification

         I learned about Definition and Classification. Definition tell about something in the text, some the text  always has defined, in other word in the text and Classification tell about kind something in the text. It can the reader more understand to the text.

 

           I did exercise about Anthropology and Species of whales. It isn’t difficult for me because the text isn’t long, easy to understand and interesting. I enjoyed and not bored.

Cause and Effects

         I learned about Cause and Effects. It to tell about cause and effect of problem. The text about Cause and Effects usually have because, since, therefore, if…then and as a result in the text. It help the reader more understand to the text.

         I did exercise about The Effects of Stress. Even though it is difficult, I interested about information of the text. After I presented about stirred fried broccoli with shrimp and I felt excited.

Comparison and Contrast 2

          I learned about Comparison and Contrast , I did diagram difference and similarities between Hurricane Andrew and Hurricane Katrina. After I did exercise about difference communication between man and woman. 

           It is difficult for me because the text is long and I didn’t known some vocabulary, so I fell confused some the text.

             I had a little test. I fell confused about the test and can’t do something. After I learned about Comparison and Contrast. Comparison is mean similarities and Contrast is mean differences. It to tell about two or more and can help the reader to understand the text.

            I did exercise about the Students and the Fruits. It isn’t difficult for me and interesting. I enjoyed and fun.

Procedure

       I learned about Procedure. Procedure to tell about how to make something such as, how to make chicken fried and usually isn’t the sentence. Some the text uses the number to tell about the step and it describe by present.

        I did exercise how to make a banana shake, recipe for banana cake and chicken soup. It isn’t difficult for me because basic vocabularies and interesting. So, I enjoyed and relaxed.

Description

         I learned about Description. Description describes about animals, place or person. Furthermore, in the text of Description usually use adjective.

          I did exercise about Komodo Dragon ( Varanus Komodoensis) it is a giant monitor lizard found in Komodo island in the Indonesian. And Budupest it is place of Hungarian. The text is interesting and I gained knowledge about tourist attraction in Hungarian.

          In my opinion, I think that it isn’t difficult for me because it is vocabulary about describes and I enjoyed.

Narratives 2

         I learned about the Secrets part 2.It is difficult for me because I didn’t know some vocabularies, so I was barely intelligible about the story. Even though it is difficult for me, I interesting and enjoyed.

         Secrets part 1

     Kylie’s mother and father was divorce and her mother was married with Philip. So, she went to stay with her mother at Philip’ house. But she felt left alone. Someday she found chickens in the yard and she interesting in the eggs. She always went to the yard because it helps her to feel less lonely. She sat on the fence, sharing the secret with the hen. When she moved in to the house, she was forbidden to lift the lid. Some afternoon she sat out under the grapevines with her album, turning pages because she missed her father.

            Secrets part 2

       Kylie went to the yard and set on the fence, gloated looking the hen sat on her eggs. Until the eggs were incubate but she put them in to the well. Philip was dissuade her but she didn’t care, so Philip was hit her, she was cry and went to her room. Finally, she cut her photo and was cry.

         I learned about Narratives. Narratives to tell about the story by write in the past. It is difference from Recount because Narratives is long more than Recount. And it have orientation, complication and resolution.

                 I did exercise Sample Text: Narrative. The story about John. It isn’t difficult for me.  But the Secrets by Tim Winton it is difficult for me because the story is long and some vocabularies are difficult.

        Last Monday, I learned about Recount. I did exercise An Excursion to the Botanic Gardens and answer the question about the text.

         It isn’t difficult for me because it was fun, interesting and basic vocabulary. So, I understand to the text. I enjoyed and not bored.

                                                                                  Recount              Last Sunday, I learned about Recount. Recount describes about the story in the past and it has orientation, events and reorientation in the text. Some the text is long and isn’t easy to understand, so the reader should be known about discourse marker.

       I did exercise about My Grandpa’s Funeral in Toraja. It is difficult for me because I didn’t know culture’s Toraja and some vocabularies is difficult. But it is interesting and I enjoyed.

         Last Monday, I learned a Discourse Approach in Reading. The teacher describes about course outline. It has Recount, Narrative, Description, Procedure, Comparison and Contrast, Cause and Effect, Definition, Classification, Exemplification, Expository and Problem Solving.

         I did exercise about example discourse markers. It isn’t difficult for me. I enjoyed and happy.

My Perception and Attitudes

              I think Writing Communication is so subject because it was interesting and important for learned English. I learned about Using E-mail, Web blogs, Everyday Notes and Messages, Telephone Message, Sending Cards for occasions, wrote diaries, wrote postcards, wrote requests, wrote invitation, Completing Forms, wrote small advertisements and the last wrote invitation. The teacher taught not boring and informally. This subject develops my skill English. When I learned to enjoy and not boring.

             Last Thursday, I learned about kind of Itineraries. I wrote trip itinerary in Kanchanaburi for summer and wrote sentences with a contraction like the example. It was not too difficult for me. I enjoyed and not boring.

            Last Thursday, I learned about Requests. I think it had interesting and important for me. I wrote notes and pass them to my classmates and answer my classmates notes. It was not too difficult for me and I enjoyed.
